Continuing the conversation: Building Solutions for Homeless Support in West Allis

Thank you for joining us for the recent Community Conversation on Homeless Supports. Your presence, perspectives, and thoughtful contributions helped make the discussion both meaningful and productive. The strong turnout and engagement from residents, nonprofit leaders, and community partners demonstrated just how much our community cares about finding solutions that reflect compassion and collaboration.

As we look ahead, we invite you to continue the conversation as we take the next step — moving from dialogue to action. Together, we’ll begin identifying priorities and developing community-led action items to address the concerns and ideas shared in our first meeting. We also encourage participants to bring information about resources, programs, or services that support people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in West Allis. Sharing what’s already happening locally will help us connect efforts, fill gaps, and strengthen the network of support in our community.

A special thank you to our co-hosts for their leadership and partnership in bringing our community together:

Aurora Health Care West Allis • City of West Allis • Liberty Heights Park Neighborhood Association • Southwest Suburban Health Department • St. Barnabas Congregation • Street Angels • West Allis Fire Administration • West Allis Police Department

Your continued involvement is key as we work to create positive, practical solutions that strengthen support for those experiencing homelessness in West Allis.

Thank you again for your time, insights, and commitment to our community. We hope to see you at the next session. Feel free to share this information among your networks and please consider bringing a non-perishable food item for our co-hosts with food pantries.
